WordPress Kids Camp

Camp Subject: Build a WordPress Website for Girls 9 to 15. Beginners.

Summary: WordPress is the most widely used platform for setting up a web page.  It is easy to use and modify content – ideal for the new user!  This class will use the Zoom video conferencing system so students can see what the instructor is doing and can share their results with the class.

WordPress is one of the leading website building and managing tools used by web professionals. Students will learn how to build a WordPress website, make their sites more secure, and solve technical problems. Instructor Kristin Berkery has worked with WordPress for 9 years and taught many people to build and maintain their own sites using WordPress. There will be opportunities for students to ask questions, and videos of the classes will be available for students to review. Students will have coursework to complete between class sessions.

Students will need:

  • A computer with at least 8 GB of memory & 128 GB hard drive storage
  • Reliable broadband internet connection
